LET US LIVE WITH CAREFUL ATTENTION LIKE EVERYBODY

What started as
an idea became a reality: a Cystic Fibrosis programme in Gaza. The programme developed
out of necessity because of the high mortality rate and suffering experienced by patients with CF in
the region. There is a genuine desire to provide a solid establishment that makes available
comprehensive CF care in Gaza.
The region’s inability to
provide necessary treatments and diagnostic services negatively impacted mortality rates and caused
increased suffering for families of children suffering from the disease. Since the sector
experienced obvious and severe shortages in the preparations of diagnostic services, treatment and
rehabilitation in regional health institutions, it seemed logical that improved services would
vastly increase mortality rates and quality of life experienced by CF sufferers.
The Cystic Fibrosis Programme in the Gaza Strip seeks to provide full
and comprehensive health services including: consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and psychological and
social rehabilitation in a professional environment to Cystic Fibrosis patients. Follow-up
care for patients along with improving the quality of life of the family with psycho-social support
through the clinic is paramount. Therefore, the goal of the programme is to increase the
physical and mental development of suffers at the outset while coordinating efforts
The programme
also seeks to provide continuous and high-quality care to meet the needs of these patients and to
treat the nature of the illness. The programme seeks to fund drugs not included in the basket of
health services while also buying food for a healthy diet, promoting natural therapies and providing
medicine and medical equipment essential in comprehensive CF treatment.
The programme became a reality with developments reached through cooperation of
all national and global institutions that support our program. Our slogan, Let Us Live
With Careful Attention Like Everybody Else illustrates our desire toseek a
better life for these patients and their relatives to offer high-quality services and continuous
treatment within our programme.
