HYGIENE AWARENESS:
The
'Wash Hands' Button / Badge
In a study reported and discussed on Cystic-L (see Editor's
Note below) hand-washing by healthcare workers increased on
average 50% when patients asked "Did you wash your hands?"
However some patients were reluctant to ask their doctors.
This 2-inch in diameter button/badge has now been produced
to help caregivers remember to keep people with cystic fibrosis
(pwcf) safe! Each button/badge is accompanied by a half-page
flyer about the button, including a brief abstract of the
study.
Small Requests: Produced by Cystic-L, and distributed by
Grandmom Bev, single buttons/badges are yours for the asking.
Email your postal address and request to Grandmom Bev
at bevd@hhcs.com
Larger Orders: If you will be distributing the buttons to
support groups, clinics, or pwcf and their caregivers, send
details of your need (number of buttons/badges and how they
will be distributed) via email to Ron@Cystic-L.org
and he will research the shipping costs.
There is no charge for the buttons/ badges or the flyers
themselves.
Please ask only for what you can reasonably expect to distribute.
Donations to support button/badge production and distribution
are welcome; buttons/badges cost about 35 cents each to produce
and deliver in bulk
(mail to: Ron Trueworthy, 4608 North 2nd Road, Arlington,
VA 22203).
