Based on the belief that it is our right to aid and be aided by our fellow brothers and sisters, the social and non-profit organization ‘Cystic Fibrosis Association of Lebanon’ (CFLB) was established in 2007.
As an illness, Cystic Fibrosis held almost no ground in the Lebanese community; its existence was kept unnoticed behind closed doors and false diagnosis. Upon the initiation of CFLB, studies and intense research were held to allocate the true number of CF cases and eventually gave the illness a face and a long overdue shocking introduction to the Lebanese population.
Today, CFLB is aiding 57 different families of children with CF with proper medical care, counseling and hospitalization and approximates this number to increase to 90 families by mid next year.
This association is a medium through which we bring out the best in ourselves and voice the urgency of finally helping the families of children with CF. Vision, passion and a dedicated team of professionals drive CFLB towards creating a better place for everyone. CFLB stands stronger everyday because we see we are not alone, we are united with the world through CFWW and with that a world of difference shall be made.
No child should be forced to wish for another day… and with our help, these children now have the chance to look forward to more days, better days and with enough help…even years.
“Life is worth a chance, let’s give them a chance worth living for”
