'Taking Flight: Inspirational Stories of Lung Transplantation' Looking for Stories

Taking Flight
Double lung transplant recipient Joanne Schum is embarking on the second edition of a collection of stories written by and about transplant and donor experiences. Reflections can be written by anyone touched by lung illness - a recipient, caregiver, family or friend of someone who received a lung transplant. Cover designs from contributing authors (photos, pictures, drawings, etc.) are also being accepted.

This is just one of the many projects Schum is spearheading. A prolific advocate in the transplant world, she also organized the first “lung gathering” at the United States Transplant Games in 2000.and is a moderator in several lung forums and internet groups. Profits from the book, which is being published by Trafford, will be donated to lung/donor organizations chosen by the authors.
