Twenty-two year old CF patient Jordan Milne wants to climb Mount Kilmanjaro to raise money for his disease. Despite the thin air near the summit that could present obstacles for someone with CF, Milne is looking forward to the challenge of climbing the world’s highest mountain. Only about half of the climbers that attempt the climb reach the summit, which takes about five days to climb. So far he has raised nearly $25,000 and has received celebrity endorsements from singer Celine Dion and other sports figures. Milne’s goal of raising $50,000 will go to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, specifically to research being done at universities in Calgary and Alberta.
