The Cystic Fibrosis Annual Day Retreat sponsored by Cystic Fibrosis
Research, Inc will be held August 7-12, 2005 in Menlo Park California,
USA. This year’s theme will be “My Big Fat Greek Retreat.”
The retreat provides social support and education for people who share
common experiences with CF. Activities include sports events inspired
by the Greek Olympics; arts and crafts; psychosocial discussions focusing
on teen and adult issues; educational workshops on select topics with
a doctor and nurse panel; and yoga and exercise workshops.
CF Teens 15 years or older, adults with CF and families of people with
CF are invited to attend. The retreat also welcomes health care professionals,
friends and invited guests.

review attendance requirements and cross contamination protocols. CFRI
has developed strict infection control guidelines to provide a safe
environment and all retreat participants must follow these guidelines.
CFRI will sponsor the day activities and provide three high calorie
meals and snacks daily for $65 USD per person for the entire week. Each
attendee must provide their own lodging. Scholarships are available
for those unable to pay fees. An application and a deposit are due 15
July 2005 because space is limited.
