Dear Readers,
It is my pleasure to take over as the new Editor of the
newsletter. My experience with CFW has been very rewarding and I am
looking forward to becoming more involved.
I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst
(USA), where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and
a Minor in Sociology. I spent a year abroad in Scotland at Stirling
University and have contributed articles to several newspapers and publications.
Currently, I work at a non-profit media monitoring and research organization
in Boston.
I have been involved with CFW since 2002, when I began
assisting Christine Noke with the newsletter mailings. I organized a
Burke Bear fundraiser at my University and began working with Sam Hillyard
writing snippets. That summer, I attended the ECFS conference in Belfast
to sell Burke Bears and write presentation summaries for the website.
Since then, I have seen CFW grow immensely and am excited
at the developments that are taking place. I hope that I can continue
to publish an exciting and informative newsletter that highlights all
of the great accomplishments CFW and its partners are making.
Sincerely,
Jill Weinstein
